Why Fai, Dao, Nám, Pàa & Lom?
When we built these five bungalows, we wanted each one to feel like its own little world — not just a room number. So we turned to the island itself for inspiration.
Fai, Dao, Nám, Pàa, and Lom are five Thai words for the five things that make Koh Phangan what it is: fire, stars, water, jungle, and breeze. The elements you feel from the moment you arrive — in the heat of the afternoon sun, the sky full of stars with no city light in sight, the sound of rain on the roof, the jungle pressing right up to your door, and that warm evening wind that makes you forget you ever had a schedule.
